Gala Games announced a partnership with Hollywood actor Dwayne “The Rock ” Johnson, through a tweet on January 11th. The announcement caused a spike in the company’s native token, GALA, with the price rising by more than 40%.

However, it was later discovered that either party had not confirmed the partnership, and Gala Games deleted the tweet. Following the deletion, the price of GALA dropped by more than 30%.

The company issued a statement, acknowledging the misinformation in the deleted tweet. According to a representative from Gala Games, the announcement was meant to be a closed post for the Discord community and wasn’t supposed to be shared in public. Despite the pullback, GALA is still up over 130% for the month, leading the rally among gaming tokens.

Illuvium: Zero’s Alpha Version Contributes to Surge in Token Trading Session

Illuvium has just launched its latest game, Illuvium: Zero. This alpha-testing multiplayer RPG lets players collect and trade unique in-game items using Illuvium’s native token, ILV.

The launch of Illuvium: Zero has caused a frenzy in the trading world, with ILV token prices skyrocketing by a whopping 10% in the early hours of trading. It’s no surprise, as the game boasts some seriously cool features, like the ability to farm ILV tokens through in-game activities and using NFTs to represent in-game items.

This isn’t the first time Illuvium has wowed the world with its AAA games. Illuvium: Origins and Illuvium: Odyssey has already made a splash. The alpha version of Illuvium: Zero is only available to a select few players for now. The launch of Illuvium: Zero and the surge in ILV trading is just the latest example of the growing interest in blockchain-based gaming.
